Olympics2024: Super Falcons Lose Opening Match To Brazil

The Super Falcons of Nigeria lost 0-1 to Brazil on Thursday in their Group C opening match of the Women’s Olympics football.

Brazil’s Gabi Nunes scored the lone goal of the match in the 37th minute after a brilliant assist from ageless Martha.

The Falcons who gave in their best couldn’t see the back of Brazilian goalkeeper.

The Falcons had 15 attempt, while the Brazilian women had 11. The Falcons also had five shots on goal with Brazil having six.

Nigeria’s next game is against world champions Spain. That match is on the 28th of July before the team take on Japan on the 31st.
