Afam Osigwe Emerges NBA President

In the recently concluded 2024 Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) election, Afam Osigwe, a senior advocate of Nigeria and former general secretary of the NBA, emerged as the president-elect. The election, which was held online, saw Osigwe secure a total of 20,395 votes, defeating his closest rivals, Tobenna Erojikwe and Chukwuka Ikwuazom (SAN), who garnered 10,970 and 9,007 votes respectively.

The election, which was monitored by our correspondent, began at 12 am on Saturday and ended at 11:59 pm, with the live results available on the NBA website.

Osigwe’s victory marks a significant milestone in his career, and he is set to succeed the outgoing president, Yakubu Maikyau (SAN).
