CAC Gives Reprieve to PoS Operators, Extends Registration Deadline to September 5

This 60-day extension, announced on the commission’s Facebook page, aims to provide sufficient time for operators, particularly those in remote areas who may have faced network challenges, to register and continue their businesses.

The commission emphasized that operators who fail to register by the new deadline risk losing their businesses and facing prosecution for assisting criminal activities. The statement warned, “Operators who fail or refuse to register by the end of the extended deadline will face the risk of losing their businesses and prosecution for aiding and abetting criminal activities.”

This extension is intended to support operators in complying with the registration requirements, and the commission urges all affected parties to take advantage of this additional time to complete the registration process.”
