Ibom Air @ 5: 10 More Aircrafts Coming.

As Ibom Air, the airline owned by the Akwa Ibom state government marks ten years of existence, The governor of the State, Pastor Umo Eno, says he will sustain the development strides of the commercial airline, according to him,10 more jets would soon arrive to boost the aviation company’s fleet.

Governor Eno stated this on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the existence of the airline, he was joined by the elated indigenes of the state, customers of the airline and stakeholders in the aviation industry across the country at Emerald event centre, Edet Akpan Avenue, Uyo, the state capital, over the weekend.

He was full of praises for his predecessor, Udom Emmanuel for establishing the venture and congratulated the management and staff for sustaining the operation momentum by ensuring excellent service delivery for five uninterrupted years without any mishap.

The MD/ CEO of The Airline Capt. Udom in his response said that his five years at the helm of affairs in Ibom Air is the most rewarding of his 50 years of operation in the aviation industry. He said that the airline started with a five-man team but now has grown to a 656-man staff strength among several other economic values it had added to the state, he added that with the smart terminal building at the Victor Attah International Airport set for operation, the airline intends to expand its operation to more West and some North African countries to reciprocate the goodwill of Akwa Ibom indigenes and Nigerians at large.
