WCQ: Benin Republic Clip Super Eagles’ Wings, Beat Nigeria For First Time

Benin Republic beat the Super Eagles for the first time on Monday, defeating them 2-1. That scoreline leaves Nigeria’s World Cup qualification on the line.

Rapheal Onyedika gave the Super Eagles the lead on 27^th minutes with Jodel Dossou equalizing 10 minutes later on the 37th minute with Steve Mounie putting the Beninois ahead in added time of first half.

All efforts to get an equalizer proved abortive for the Super Eagles.

Nigeria have only a miserable three points from four World Cup qualification games and are at the risk of missing the next football tournament.
