After Public Spat, Don Jazzy Appreciates Wizkid For Endorsing Ayra Starr’s New Album

A few weeks after engaging in a public spat, Don Jazzy, the music producer, has appreciated Wizkid for endorsing the latest album of Ayra Starr, the Mavin Records signee.

Last month, Wizkid mocked Don Jazzy, referring to the highly decorated music producer as an “influencer”.

The statement generated a fiery discussion on social media, however, Don Jazzy kept mute and did not respond to the ‘Ojuelegba’ hitmaker.

Fast forward to Friday, May 31, 2024, Starr, one of Don Jazzy’s discoveries, released her second album titled ‘The Year I Turned 21’.

The star-studded project features Giveon, the American R&B singer; Anitta, the Brazilian pop star; Coco Jones, the US singer; and fellow Nigerian artistes Asake, Seyi Vibez, and Milar.

Reacting to the album, Wizkid took to his X page to share the album cover and download link while describing Starr as a “superstar”.

The singer wrote: “Superstar (with love and eagle emojis)”.

Delighted by Wizkid’s gesture, the Mavin Records head honcho thanked Wizkid while referring to him by his nickname.

“Thanks Big Wiz” he wrote while using the eagle emoji as well.

Born Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, Starr became a viral sensation after releasing her hit track ‘Bloody Samaritan’ in 2021.

With numerous awards and accolades, Starr has become one of the continent’s fastest-rising artists.
