Breaking: Wike Announces Free Rides On The Abuja Light Rail For Two Months.

Following its opening on Monday, the Federal Government will launch a two-month free riding service on the Abuja Light rail, according to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike’s announcement.

At the ministerial news conference evaluating the first year of President Tinubu’s government in Abuja, Wike revealed this information.

According to the minister, President Tinubu will officially open the railway on Monday. It will then open for business on Tuesday, providing all passengers with a complimentary two-month trip service.

This is a component of President Tinubu’s “new hope” program for the people living in the Federal Capital Territory and its environs, according to Wike.

“For those who are saying that the rail system had already been commissioned, don’t make a mistake. What was earlier commissioned was the building. What we want to commission on Monday is commercial operations.

“If you are going to the airport, from here to airport is 20 minutes. Seeing is believing. Go on Tuesday. We are going to allow for free rides for two months. You know, Mr. President, he can even say extend it to six months just to reduce the pain of our people. That is renewed hope agenda. When you say something, you do it,” Wike said.
