Naira Abuse: Cubana Chief Priest Advises Nigerians To Avoid EFCC

Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, is a well-known bartender who has advised Nigerians to avoid the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Nigerians won’t tolerate the stress the EFCC puts detainees through during trial, according to Cubana Chief Priest.

Posting on Instagram on Thursday, the nightlife king wrote: “Court day, problem no good Oh, @officialefcc No Dey Joke Oh !!!! Better stay away from their wahala, I’m sure you will not love to pass through this Kinda stress I’m passing through.”

This is coming after reports emerged that he had agreed to an out-of-court settlement.

A Federal High Court in Lagos fixed June 5 for a report of settlement in the case against Cubana Chief Priest, over alleged abuse of the naira.

The EFCC had on April 17 arraigned Cubana Chief Priest on three counts of spraying and tampering with the naira notes during a social event at Eko Hotel in Lagos State.

He had pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail in the sum of N10 million.

Justice Kehinde Ogundare then adjourned the case until May 2, for hearing of the preliminary objection and trial.
