Continuing, Zino, as he is fondly called added that Ushoppen became necessary to solve the diverse problems and high costs associated with building an e-commerce business; from hiring a developer to purchasing a server, to figuring out how to collect payment online, to cyber and data security, which can be pretty burdensome and somewhat vexatious.

“We understand that the digital age is now and any company or any organization that does not strive or get themselves abreast of the digital age will be left behind.

I tell you for free, the marketplace is gradually graduating from the streets to the digital world or digital space. Now I understand that people have, they still have stores, physical and walk in stores. But I tell you that right now, from statistics, we only have 37% of people that are using eCommerce. So, it all means that there are still huge resources of e-Commerce that are not tapped yet because just 37% of the whole world population uses e-Commerce.

So, the remaining people will eventually adopt e-Commerce. And that’s one of the reasons why we have a strong business case to build Ushoppen” he said.

We used the answer and view system approach to developing Ushoppen. And one of the reasons why we started Ushoppen is to curb all of the bureaucracy that is involved in having an online store.

So usually, before now, on an average in a year, we tend to view an average of 15 to 20 e-commerce websites every year. And that’s because there’s so much bureaucracy that goes into having an online store or having an e-commerce store. For example, you need to buy a server, you need to buy a domain name, you need to hire a developer.

Due to this, so many customers, I mean, so many clients will tell you it’s too expensive. I’ll just keep selling on WhatsApp.
