Wike to Political Elders: You are Vampires

The political imbroglio in Rivers State is yet to end as Former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike directs his latest slavo on the political elders who has thrown their weight behind The incumbent governor Simi Fubara, he called them political vampires and spent forces, he stated this in a television interview beamed live in four stations where he admitted a frosty rift with Peter Odili a former governor of the state and his former close ally.

The FCT Minister accused elders, including former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus of lack of integrity and condemned them for working against the state’s welfare.

In his strained relationship with Odili, Wike explained that their disagreement is as a result of his allegiance with Governor Fubara in the ongoing fracas between them, including Abiye Sekibo and Celestine Omehia in the fray.

He said these elders were no more politically relevant. However, the elders pledged their unalloyed loyalty and support to President Bola Tinubu and Governor Simi Fubara.

Wike justified his involvement in the politics of Rivers State, as he aims to strengthen his political power base in the state, he challenged Governor Fubara to publicize his the debt profile of his administration, he also frowns at the ill treatment of The Legislature.

Wike admitted that he would have fled the country had Atiku Abubakar won the 2023 presidential election.
