Easter Tragedy: Former Oyo Governor’s ADC Commits Suicide

DCP Gbolahan Oyedemi, a deputy commissioner of police now on duty with the Lagos State Police Command, was discovered dead at his own residence in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

According to THE MATRIX, DCP Oyedemi assisted the late Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala, a former governor of Oyo State, as his Aide de Camp (ADC) in 2006.

Before he was discovered dead, the deceased, an Ogbomoso native, had traveled from Lagos to the town for the Easter festival last weekend.

It was gathered that his body was found hanging in the house on Monday, suggesting he committed suicide.

As of press time, efforts to speak to the spokespersons of both the Lagos and Oyo Police Commands were futile.

But it was reported that the Police Public Relations Officer of Force Criminal Investigation Department, FCID, Alagbon, DSP Eguaoje Funmilayo, confirmed Oyedemi’s death.
