When Oni Isaac Oluwatoyosi, popularly known as Icemamo, was born, there were songs of joy and melodies in his home.
Now, he has turned his inborn abilities into a work of art ready to be shared with the public for free.
“I have always been a lover of melodies, enjoying music since I was very young, and I have a great fondness for live music,” he stated. “It all started when I began learning the piano, and here we are today.”
This guitar-playing Afro-pop star is second to none, a gem crafted by nature itself, awaiting his time to unveil himself to the world.
“I have never performed live before, but I’m looking forward to that day because I love live music a lot,” he expressed.
“Yeah! The upcoming song I’m working on right now is called ‘DADDY’s Girl.’ It tells the story of how I had my baby girl and the promises I made to her through the song,” he revealed.

Speaking on his creative process, Icemamo said he writes his songs and is not an impulsive singer who only finds words when in the studio.
“I will first write it down as it comes to my head, then I will try and sing it in my head to see if it sounds okay for listeners. After that, I will make amendments if necessary,” he explained.
“Life on the street is very different from life at home, and survivors have different views and versions about life,” he reflected.
He also shared his thoughts on life as a Nigerian artist, relating it to current issues.
“To be very honest, when I heard about the dismissal of Mohbad and the stories surrounding his dismissal, like how he was a fighter from his early days, even from his family background and all that, I realized most of us are also going through many family wars in silence. But I can start telling my own stories to the world through music,” he concluded.
