Idris Elba, Partners Mo Abudu On ‘Dust To Dreams’

Dust To Dreams, a short film situated in Lagos, is slated to be directed by Hollywood actor Idris Elba in association with Nigerian director Mo Abudu.

The connection between a mother and her teenage daughter is followed in Dust to Dreams when the daughter meets her father for the first time.

On Tuesday, Mo Abudu used her social media accounts to provide further information on the movie, which will star: Seal, a British-Nigerian musician; Nollywood actors Nse Ikpe-Etim, Eku Edewor, Atlanta Bridget Johnson; and Constance Olatunde, a former Nigerian Idol competitor

Her post, which is based on a report published by the entertainment platform Deadline, also shows that the film is a collaboration between EbonyLife Films and the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), through its Creative Africa Nexus (Canex).

“I’m beyond thrilled to announce a groundbreaking collaboration close to my heart!” she wrote.
