Divine Ikubor, best known by his stage name as Rema, is a Nigerian Afrobeats phenomenon who has opened up about his longsightedness.

The musician clarified that his eye issue prevents him from focusing on close things, which is why he wears glasses.

The “Calm Down” singer said this when answering a question about himself that he has never shared with anybody else in an interview with Capital Xtra on the red carpet at the 2024 Brit Awards in London, United Kingdom.

The host asked: “Tell us a secret, anything that you’ve never told anyone else.”

Rema replied: “I use glasses. I’m suffering from long-sightedness.”
