Osamede Gabriel Osaretin, known by his stage name Cruzzy Vibee, is making waves in the music scene at just 20 years old. Hailing from Benin City, Edo State, Cruzzy Vibee is determined to leave his mark on the international Afrobeat stage.
In an exclusive interview, Cruzzy Vibee revealed that his musical journey began in 2019 when his father introduced him to the studio. Reflecting on his early experiences, he said, “I have always known that I was meant to make music; it’s just my destiny.”
Cruzzy Vibee’s unique sound, a fusion of Afrobeat and Trap, sets him apart in the industry. He expressed, “My unique vibe, the way I step into an Afrobeat is very different and unique.” When asked about his musical influences, Cruzzy Vibee emphasized, “I don’t get influenced by anyone; I get inspired by everyone.”
The artist credited his first studio session, guided by his father and Adriz, as a pivotal moment. “My dad first took me to the studio, and
that’s where it all began,” he said. Cruzzy Vibee shared insights into his creative process, stating, “I write my songs myself, and I want to share my sound with the universe and be a big part of Afrobeat internationally.”
While Cruzzy Vibee has already released four singles and one EP, he revealed that he hasn’t released a full album yet. “I haven’t released an album, just an EP,” he clarified. Despite his young age, Cruzzy Vibee has made significant strides in the industry, emphasizing, “I want to be the biggest vibe in Afrobeat.”
Looking ahead, Cruzzy Vibee remains focused on his musical journey, stating, “I haven’t been featured on anybody’s album yet, but I aspire to collaborate with other artists.” As he continues to hone his craft, Cruzzy Vibee’s green and black aesthetic, representing growth and strength, symbolizes his commitment to making an indelible mark on the Afrobeat landscape.
