Portable, Wife Stronger Together As Photos Of Assault Flood Online

Bewaji, the contentious wife of Nigerian musician Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable, has refuted reports that there was domestic abuse in their union.

According to THE MATRIX, images of Bewaji’s hurt body and comments on social media on Monday night suggested that the musician was abusing the woman.

In response, Bewaji asserted in a series of postings on her Instagram account that the accusations of domestic abuse are being used to destroy her husband’s reputation and life.

She said that the pictures of the purported attack that were becoming viral online were from an accident that occurred a year ago, and that God had spared her.

She dared those alleging that Portable is beating her to post video evidence, adding she does not owe anyone an explanation of what is happening in her union.

She wrote, “Lol. So because una no dey see water drink now, una want to spoil my husband life and his career. E ti shofo. I dey come with full gist.

“But this evidence no clear, una supposed to post the video where he dey beat me steady. This picture is from when I had an accident last year, but Alhamdulilah.

“Some months ago them even hack my account. Just got it back that’s why I private my account till now the more una talk rubbish about us the more our glory keeps shining. And then again, no relationship that’s perfect.

“Once me and my husband no get any issues. Make una continue dey cry on to my matter. And I don’t owe anyone an explanation. My man is my man, period.”a
