“I Was Set Up” – Lizzy Anjorin Speaks On Theft Allegation

Lizzy Anjorin, a well-known actress in Nollywood, has responded to claims that she was stolen from.

THE MATRIX is aware that on Monday, February 5, a user of X published a video of the actress in a well-known market in Lagos State, accusing her of larceny and sending a phony bank alert to make a purchase.

The actress went in the market to buy some fashion accessories when one of the store owners accused her of going to his shop last year and using a fictitious bank alert to buy items worth N91,000. This information was posted by X user @BettyStaveley.

However, addressing the allegation against her via a video on her social media page, Anjorin claimed that she was set up.

She said that they had plans to attack her and set her on fire.

Speaking on the issue with the vendor, the actress explained that her husband was the one who sent the money and the vendor confirmed that he had received the alert before she left his shop, but when she visited the market again he told her that he did not receive the money.

The actress said when she called her husband to inform him of the situation, he told the vendor to send him his account details so he could send the money and they would later look into the issue and investigate the reason he never got the initial transfer.

However, Anjorin said the vendor switched off his phone and refused to send his bank details to her husband
