CKay Shed Light On BNXN Exemption From Hit Song ‘Hallelujah’

The story of Nigerian musician CKay’s partnership with colleague BNXN, aka Buju, has been further illuminated.

In a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos, CKay revealed that the version of his 2023 hit song “Hallelujah” that was finally released had Blaqbonez instead of Seyi Vibez and BNXN.

He clarified that Seyi Vibez’s management had not cleared up his verse, and BNXN had asked to be removed off the song.

The ‘Love Nwantiti’ crooner said he doesn’t know why BNXN demanded to be dropped from the song.

“One thing I can tell you is that BNXN asked to be taken off the record [‘Hallelujah’]. Why he asked to be taken off the record is a question you will have to ask him,” he said.

CKay said he doesn’t regret releasing the version with Blaqbonez, stressing that it was a hit.
