Africa Cup of Nations holders Senegal crashed out at the hands of Ivory Coast in a last-16 penalty shootout on Monday night.

Regulation time and extra time ended 1-1 but Moussa Niakhate missed his spot kick as the Ivorians who got to this stage as one of the third-best teams in the group stage, won in dramatic fashion.
