Lagos PDP Chairman Released in Ogun From Kidnappers’ Den

Philip Aivoj, the chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, was freed after four days with his captors, according to the Ogun State police command.

The PDP leader was released in the early hours of Monday, according to Omolola Odutola, a police spokesperson for the state command. However, she was unable to provide specifics on his release.

The Lagos PDP chairman was abducted, alongside some other party officials, by gunmen around Ogere on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Thursday last week.

They were returning from the party’s stakeholders’ zonal caucus meeting convened by the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, in Ibadan, the state capital.
