Imuse, Edo state APC Chairman Resigns, Joins Guber Race

Retired Col David Imuse,The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State has resigned his position in the party and is set to join the race to the government house in the forthcoming gubernatorial election. His resignation was conveyed in a memo dated the 16th of January and made available to Newsmen in Benin City which was addressed to The Party’s Deputy State Chairman citing Article 31 (2) (iii) of the All Progressives Congress Constitution 2022 as the basis for his action.

“In pursuant to Article 31 (2) (iii) of the All Progressives Congress Constitution 2022 as amended, I have decided to voluntarily resign my position as the State Chairman of this great party in the state.
“This is born out of my desire to enable me to get myself in the state of readiness to contest the next gubernatorial election in the state, which is slated for the 21st of September 2024.” The memo read in part.

Imuse thanked the members of the party, particularly the State Working Committee and State Executive Committee, for giving him the opportunity to serve as the State Chairman while acknowledging the support he received during his tenure as the Chairman of The Party in Edo State.
