While the 2027 General Election is still about three years away, political gladiators in the country have already started the scheming and politicking to wrest power away from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling All-Progressives Congress (APC).
Part of the plot to be put into play include the formation of a coalition by the three leading opposition candidates namely Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); his Labour Part counterpart, Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria’s People Party (NNPP).
The Matrix gathered that plans are already at an advanced stage regarding this coalition.
The lid on this coalition was blown wide open by political economist Professor Pat Utomi in an interview revealed that the contenders for the 2023 presidential election have decided to create a meger party.

Speaking further during the interview he discussed the need for a new political party in Nigeria, emphasizing that the existing parties have not effectively served the people.
He also criticized the current state of Nigerian politics, highlighting the lack of focus on improving the quality of life for Nigerians.
Utomi also explained that the failure of the APC (All Progressives Congress) was due to the intentions of certain individuals within the party.
He further expressed the need for a new party with clear values and policies, as well as a focus on accountability and progress.
“Let’s leave elections for now. Let’s look at how our country can be made to work for everybody. And let’s create a political party that can bring the issues to the fore for all the Nigerian people to have the kind of consensus on how to solve problems. If we have that consensus, we will find Nigerians who can provide leadership positions and the provision of those positions will not be about what they get for themselves because this narcissism is a cancer that is tearing Nigerian politics down.

“What we need are people who sacrificially give up themselves to build a great country with their possible reward being immortality”.
That’s why I want to calm down now, design and put in place a real political party with clear ideas of how you become part of it, what you will do in it and therefore you accept to do it or not to do before you come into it, where there will be a clear agenda – a party plan that the day you arrive in office, everybody from Perm Sec to level eight officer knows what they must do every day to move Nigeria to a certain level. If you don’t do it, you get fired.
Additionally, he mentioned discussions with various political figures and leaders of social movements about forming this new party, emphasizing the importance of values and integrity in Nigerian politics.
Meanwhile, a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has offered some suggestion on how President Bola Ahmed Tinubu can escape this coalition in 2027.
Omokri in a post on his verified X page opined that if Tinubu is able to attain some levels of achievements, he will be re-elected.
“If Tinubu can deliver true federalism and state police, nothing can stop him from being re-elected in 2027. If he fails to provide it, Nigerians will turn to Waziri Atiku in 2027. And, as long as Peter Obi does not contest again, the Waziri can win.
However, if Peter Obi contests again, 2027 will end like 2023. God sparing all our lives until then. Life and death being the only things we cannot control” he wrote.
In another development, Daniel Bwala, spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar campaign in 2023 has disclosed that President Tinubu did not offer him any form of appointment when he visited the president last week.
Speaking in an interview on Channels Television on Sunday, Bwala said he is not supporting the Tinubu’s administration because of an appointment.
Speaking shortly after the visit, Bwala, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said he was committed to supporting Tinubu’s administration to succeed.
Bwala said if supporting the president would take him back to the All Progressives Congress (APC), “so be it”.
His visit to Tinubu was seen by many Nigerians as a political move to defect to the APC.
In the buildup to the 2023 elections, Bwala dumped the APC to join the PDP.
Asked during the interview if he would accept any appointment from Tinubu, the lawyer said he would “appreciate” an offer of appointment that contributes to the agenda of the president.
“People are even unfair to President Bola Tinubu; to be honest, he has never promised anything,” he said.
“If the president makes an offer of a position that I see will contribute to the development of his agenda, I would more than anything else appreciate it.
“But it is not the appointment that I am looking for to support him. President Bola Tinubu has not promised me anything.”
On whether he informed Abubakar of his visit to Tinubu, Bwala responded in affirmation.
“Yes, I did. I was so shocked when I saw people flying information that I sprung surprises on Atiku,” he said.
“I informed Atiku that I was going to see the president. After I had seen the president, I informed him that I had just seen the president, and he replied, ‘Thanks Daniel for notifying me”.
