Dangote Refinery Receives Sixth Crude Shipment, Gears Up For Production

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery recently received its sixth batch of one million barrels of crude from the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), marking a significant milestone for the facility.

According to a statement received on Monday,this latest delivery of Agbami crude grade, facilitated through MT ALMI SUN, completes the scheduled six million barrels consignment required for the commencement of operations at the $20 billion refinery.

The state reads in part: “Dangote refinery appears set to commence production of refined petroleum products with the receipt of the sixth batch of barrels of crude supplied by the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited.”

This sixth and final batch is crucial for initiating the refining process at the facility.

With the arrival of this consignment, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery now holds a total of six million barrels of crude in stock.

Anticipation is high that the refinery, boasting a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, will soon kickstart the production of petroleum products.
