Why Akeredolu Died In Lagos, And Not Germany-Source

Indications have emerged on why Governor Rotimi Akeredolu who died earlier today in Lagos could not be flown abroad to Germany where he had been receiving treatment and died in Lagos State instead.

The Matrix gathered from a very reliable source that his doctors warned against airlifting him to Germany as this would be very risky as his frail condition would not have been able to withstand such rigorous and long hours of flight!

The estimated flight time between Nigeria and Frankfurt in Germany is between 6 Hours 30 minutes and can take up to 7 hours.

It was gathered that the State House doctors managing him up to his death cautioned seriously against flying him abroad hence the reason he was being treated in Lagos to stabilize him before he could be flown abroad.

Akeredolu who was said to be suffering from Leukemia, a form of blood cancer, had been going to Germany to treat the ailment during begging the question on why he had to die in Lagos when it was assumed that he was in Germany for treatment.

Earlier, Akeredolu’s son had sought the assistance of President Bola Tinubu to get an air ambulance to return his ailing father to Germany where he had been receiving treatment but that could not be done as his condition was said to have deteriorated badly.

It was also disclosed that the family was looking for dialysis machines to be sent to his secret location in Lagos last week.

Recall that the ailing governor returned to Nigeria in September following a three-month medical leave in Germany.

Recently, he went on another medical leave after being directed by President Tinubu to hand over power to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

His death earlier today seems to have brought an end to the crisis rocking the state.
