Ex-President Jonathan Continues Romance With APC, Visits Ganduje In Abuja

Former Nigerian president, Goodluck Jonathan on Friday continued his romance with the ruling All-Progressives Congress by visiting Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the APC, at his Abuja residence.

The details of the meeting are unknown at the moment but it is fueling the rumour mill about the soft spot displayed by the former president to the ruling party.

APC shared photographs of the meeting with the ex-president on its verified X account on Friday morning, captioned it;

“The National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, received in audience former President Goodluck Jonathan @GEJonathan at his residence in Abuja.”

Goodluck Jonathan, had in October, visited President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja.

Jonathan’s visit was about 24 hours after the Supreme Court of Nigeria affirmed Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential election as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Also, during the tenure of former President Muhammadu Buhari, Jonathan was a regular caller at the Aso Villa.

In fact, ahead of the last Presidential Election, some members of the ruling party had purchased the Presidential form of the APC for him.

Many are of the opinion that it is only a matter of when for the former President to join the ruling party.
