Just in: The Cooking Record of an Irish Chef is Broken by Nigerian Chef

Temitope Adebayo, a.k.a. Tope Maggie, a Nigerian chef, is said to have broken the record for the longest cooking marathon by a single person.

Maggie has broken Irish chef Alan Fisher’s record of 119 hours and 57 minutes, according to Naija News.

Early on Saturday, November 18, Chef Maggie wrapped up a 200-hour cook-a-thon.

This was revealed in a video that was uploaded on Saturday on the Oyo Affairs X page.

The video was captioned: ‘Congratulations to Chef Tope Maggie and his team for completing a 200-hour Cook-A-Thon, which came to an end at exactly 3am this morning.’

The cook-a-thon reportedly started on Thursday evening and ended on Saturday morning.

It took place at the Ogbomoso Recreation Club in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, across LAUTECH College of Health Sciences in Isale-General.

While the GWR is yet to confirm his record, Tope has been receiving congratulations and celebration continues over his feat.
