#KogiDecides2023: Dino about to Vote as EFCC comes.

Only a few minutes remain in the voting process before Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party’s nominee for governor, casts his ballot.

At this point, agents from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had reached his voting location.

Melaye’s registration is at the state’s Iluafon quarters, Aiyetoro 1, Ijumu Local Government Area.

The PUNCH claims that Dino and Leke Abejide, also known as “Elder,” are the two front-runners for the governorship of the Kogi West Senatorial District. Dino is a candidate for the People Democratic party.

Electoral observers say Abejide who is a serving lawmaker may affect Dino’s chances at the governorship polls.

Kogi West which Dino hails from has never produced a governor since the inception of the state.

About 1.8m registered voters will decide the next governor of Kogi state, which is widely regarded as the “confluence state.”

Though INEC says 18 governorship candidates will be contesting the elections today, analysts say the election will be keenly contested between Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress, Muritala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party, Leke Abejide of the African Democratic Party and Dino Melaye of the PDP
