Wizkid Has Announced a Music Break

Popular Nigerian musician Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun, announced his intention to take a break from the music industry on Sunday.

The Essence crooner announced this on Instagram in a string of posts, saying he will be taking a four- to five-year hiatus from the music industry and that he is thinking of taking up golf or football.

Wizkid who wrote in broken English stated, “Back in 4 years, make una papa chop him money small or maybe five or I fit still go dey play ball now.

“Or make I start dey play golf. Fifa or wrestling b*tch!”All of una dey craze! Everybody dey mad.

“On some G shit, I hope you mofuckas alright body mind and soul and taking time out to enjoy with your loved ones.”

Wizkid will not be the first to announce a hiatus from music.

The musician announced his intention to take a hiatus from music in 2019 by tweeting, “Gone till March!,” via his X account. I’m grateful.
