Tinubu Appoints Olusi, Finance Minister’s Economic Adviser As MD Of BOI

The Bank of Industry (BOI) has a new  Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, The Matrix has gathered.
He is Dr Olasupo Olusi, an Economic Adviser to Wale Edun, the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance.
His appointment which is for a term of four years in the first instance was approved by President Bola Tinubu on Thursday.
Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.
Ngelale said Tinubu’s approval of Olusi’s appointment followed the voluntary resignation of the former BOI Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Olukayode Pitan.
According to the statement, Olusi has served as a World Bank economist and development finance expert over the past 20 years.
He has also served as the economic adviser to the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance.
