NNPC Warns Nigerians Against Panic-Buying, Assures Of 30-Day Sufficiency

Following the surfacing of queues in some filling stations across the country, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has warned Nigerians against panic-buying saying it has fuel to cover for 30 days.

This warning was contained in a statement released on Thursday afternoon by the oil company saying the scarcity is on the back of reduced depot loadout in Apapa, Lagos over a few days, “and the root cause has since been addressed.”

NNPC Retail Ltd. notes the appearance of fuel queues in some parts of Lagos and a few other locations around the country. This is due to reduced Depot loadout in Apapa, Lagos over a few days, and the root cause has since been addressed.

We assure all Nigerians that there is ample supply with a sufficiency of at least 30 days.

Motorists are advised to desist from panic buying as distribution will normalize over the next couple of days” the statement said.
