FBNQuest, the investment banking and asset management arm of FBN Holdings Plc, has joined forces with Teach for Nigeria (TFN) in organizing a charity walk to provide support for underprivileged children’s education.
Teach for Nigeria is a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing leaders and advancing educational development across the nation by recruiting graduates and professionals to serve as full-time teachers in underserved schools. The charity walk was held to raise funds for covering academic fees for students in marginalized communities in Nigeria.
Funke Shobanjo, Head of Strategy, Transformation, People, and Brand Management at FBNQuest, highlighted the importance of access to education for social and economic empowerment. She noted that financial constraints often hinder many children in their community from receiving an education. The charity walk allowed FBNQuest employees to come together to support deserving children and their right to education.
Shobanjo stressed the significance of education as a catalyst for growth and development and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to equipping young people with the necessary skills to excel.
FBNQuest’s ultimate goal is to provide young leaders with increased access to opportunities that contribute to building a stable economy. They firmly believe that strategic partnerships are essential in achieving this objective, and the proceeds from the charity walk will be exclusively utilized to assist underprivileged children in need of educational support.
FBNQuest is dedicated to supporting and enabling education in Nigeria through its educational investment products, such as the FBN Education Endowment Plan and Children Education Trust, designed to secure the future of young adults. Additionally, FBNQuest participates in various initiatives focused on knowledge and skills development, people empowerment, and financial literacy to cultivate future leaders.
