Chicago State University: Aisha Yesufu Calls for Tinubu’s Removal or an Apology to Mmesoma

Sociopolitical activist Aisha Yesufu has according to reports weighed in on the certificate controversy surrounding President Bola Tinubu with a unique perspective. She maintained that If President Bloa Tinubu remains in office, Nigerians should offer an apology to Mmesoma Ejikeme, who was involved in a JAMB result forgery case.

Yesufu, co-convener of BringBackOurGirls (BBOG), advocated for granting Mmesoma a scholarship.

She also raised questions about the legitimacy of Tinubu’s presidency, stating, “If Tinubu is not removed, then Nigeria should apologize to Mmesoma and give her a scholarship. If we want to be outspoken as a nation, then let’s be unapologetically outspoken. Isn’t Tinubu’s questionable occupancy of the presidential office a derogatory act towards Nigerians, or is it the certificate forgery issue that isn’t derogatory?”

This development comes after the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, embarked on a mission to expose alleged forgery by Tinubu. Atiku claimed that Tinubu submitted a forged certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and questioned the authenticity of Tinubu’s attendance at the Chicago State University (CSU).

In response, CSU affirmed Tinubu’s admission and graduation from the institution, contradicting Atiku’s allegations.
