Elisha Abbo Clinches Labour Party Guber Ticket In Adamawa Ahead Of 2027

Former senator Elisha Abbo has emerged as the governorship candidate of the Labour Party Nigeria in Adamawa State ahead of the 2027 general elections.  

Abbo, who represented Adamawa North in the 9th Senate, received the party’s ticket after being declared the consensus flagbearer ahead of the 2027 elections.

He pledged to focus on inclusive governance, economic revival, youth empowerment, job creation, education, healthcare, and improved security if elected governor.

Following his emergence, Abbo said he would embark on extensive consultations and grassroots mobilisation across all 21 local government areas of the state to strengthen his campaign.

Political analysts say his candidacy is likely to reshape the dynamics of the Adamawa governorship race, given his political visibility and influence in the state.

The development is part of broader political realignments ahead of 2027, as parties continue to position key figures for competitive state and national elections.
