Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has applauded the posting of CP Aina Adesola to Delta State. He sees the posting as a blessing to the state as he reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to maintain peace, law and order across the state.
He made this known on Tuesday at the Government House, Asaba, when CP Aina Adesola led members of the Command’s Management Team on a courtesy visit to formally introduce himself following his deployment to the state.
The Governor said CP Adesola’s prior service as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) in Delta State had given him a deep understanding of the state’s security terrain, he added that his familiarity with local security dynamics would further strengthen ongoing efforts to sustain stability.
Oboreivwori used the occasion to commend officers and men of the Delta State Police Command for their professionalism and dedication, which according to him had contributed to the relative peace currently enjoyed across the state.
He issued a standing directive that any individual found in possession of firearms or engaged in acts capable of disrupting public order should be promptly arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law.
The Governor further called on residents of the state to continue to support security agencies with timely and credible intelligence, stressing that effective policing requires active public cooperation.
CP Aina Adesola during the visit, expressed appreciation to the Governor for the warm reception and consistent support of the Delta State Government to the Nigeria Police Force.
He assured the Governor of the Command’s commitment to proactive, intelligence-led and community-oriented policing, as well as strengthened collaboration with sister security agencies and relevant stakeholders to enhance safety and development in the state.
CP Adesola also pledged that the Command would remain resolute in protecting lives and property, while working closely with the state government to ensure Delta State remains peaceful and secure.
