Obasanjo Tells IBB To Expect Mixed Reactions To His Autobiography

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has advised Gen. Ibrahim Babangida to brace for a range of reactions—good, bad, and ugly—following the release of his autobiography, A Journey in Service. 

Speaking at the book launch, where he also chaired the event, Obasanjo emphasized that Babangida’s contribution was significant in both making and documenting history.

He urged Babangida not to be deterred by critics, referencing his own experience with criticism from the late Tunji Braithwaite, who condemned one of Obasanjo’s books without reading it.

 Obasanjo highlighted the importance of keeping accurate historical records for national development.
