Victor Osimhen has proven to be a worthy addition to the Galatasary squad and that has earned him recent accolades from one of the teams former striker- Unit Karan.
The Nigerian forward, already renowned for his lethal finishing and explosive style, demonstrated leadership qualities and an unshakable sense of belonging during Galatasaray’s 1-0 victory over Bodrumspor on Monday.
The match was significant for several reasons, not least because it marked Osimhen’s emergence as the team’s go-to man following Mauro Icardi’s season-ending ACL injury.
Coach Orkan Buruk entrusted the 24-year-old Super Eagles star with leading the line, flanked by the experienced Dries Mertens in a supportive role.

He directed Batshuayi immediately after the goal. He has adapted to the team so much,” Karan observed.
Osimhen’s tactical flexibility was also on display. In the absence of Icardi, he took on a hybrid role that blended a traditional striker’s responsibilities with those of a playmaker and motivator. His ability to perform across multiple dimensions has cemented his status as one of the most complete forwards in the league.
