As the race for the November 16, 2024 Gubernatorial Election in Ondo State hits the home stretch, the preparation for the official inauguration of “The Mandate Movement”, Ondo State Chapter cum Mobilisation of non-political organisations supporting the election bid of His Excellency Hon Lucky Ayedatiwa is now in the top gear.
The group in a statement released on Tuesday and obtained by The Matrix reveals that the official inauguration will take place on Sunday, 27th October, 2024 at 2.00 noon.
The event is scheduled to take place at the new APC party secretariat, beside Akure South Local Government Area Office, along Ilesha Road, Akure.

“The Leadership of the group at the National level along with our amiable Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa will jointly do the official inauguration of Ondo state Chapters of theMovement/ Mobilisation of non-political organisations to support his Excellency Hon. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa in the Governorship election slated for 16th Nov, 2024.
Those expected to grace the occasion are the National Leaders of the Movement from Lagos and Abuja including Cardinal J.O Odunmbaku, Rt Hon Mudasiru Obasa Speaker Lagos State House of Assembly, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele and a host of others” the statement reads in part.
Ayedatiwa is expected to serve as the Host Governor while the Host Chairman is Engr Ade Adetimehin.
“Special Guests of Honour are Hon Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, Rt Hon Speaker Olamide Oladiji.
‘Other respected personalities to be on the ground include Chief Pius Olu Akinyelure, Otunba Solomon Oladunni, Prof Ajayi Boroffice, Chief Olusola Oke, Amb Olusola Iji & Prof Olu Aderohunmu.

“Expected as Distinguished Guests of Honour are Senators Jide Ipinsagba, Dr Jimoh Ibrahim & Adeniyi Adegbonmire SAN.
“To also grace the occasion as Special Guests are the current & former Members of the House of Reps, State Assembly, Cabinet members, and all Local govt chairmen.
“Also expected are APC State working committee members, all Exco members of non-political organisations, Artisan groups, Market men/women, professional and religious bodies that are already affiliated with The Mandate Movement Ondo state chapter” the statement added.
