PDP Crisis: Govs In Atiku, Wike’s Camp In High Stake Meeting

As the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) continues to fester, governors elected under the platform of the party will meet Monday (today) to fashion out ways of resolving the crisis.

The governors on opposing sides are meeting to discuss options to resolve the lingering crisis which to the fore in the run up to the 2023 presidential election.

On one hand are about four governors loyal to the acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum and Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory FCT.

On the other hands are those loyal to the factional PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Yayari Mohammed believed to be loyal to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

According to reports, two of the 13 governors are neutral. They are neither supporting Atiku nor Wike’s camps.

The PDP governors are to convene an emergency meeting today to resolve the lingering crisis.

The failure of the governors to amicably resolve the issues may lead to a more damaging crisis in the party.
