Uzodinma Is Imo Duly Elected Governor, Supreme Court Rules

The re-election of Hope Uzodinma as Imo State’s governor has been affirmed by the Supreme Court.

In an unanimous decision, the panel held that Uzodinma was duly reelected.

In a judgment on Friday, a five-member panel of the court dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Samuel Anyanwu.

The panel unanimously agreed that the appeal was without merit and all the issues were resolved in favour of the governor.

The court also dismissed the appeal of the Labour Party (LP) and its candidate, Athan Achonu for lacking merit.
