Kenechukwu Mezue, a seasoned software developer and entrepreneur, has spoken on his property app, SHORTLET APP adding that the app hopes to play a significant role in the development of the Nigerian hospitality industry.

According to Mezue, the app was born out of a need to solve problems faced in the short-term rental market in Lagos.”While managing short-term rental apartments, I experienced several issues that could be improved to benefit both hosts and guests. The existing foreign platforms faced difficulties processing payments from Nigerian cards due to the ongoing foreign exchange issues. SHORTLET APP is a platform where hosts can list their properties and guests can book them. Our solution aims to create a seamless community for short-term renting with a lower fee structure and tailored features for the Nigerian market, including robust KYC verification and local payment gateways.
