Ikot Ekpene, Oron Traditional Rulers Apologize to Gov Eno.

The governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno has reinstated his commitment to maintaining peace, equity and justice while tasking the Paramount Rulers to do same in their enclaves.

Governor Eno stated this when the Paramount Rulers from the 31 Local Government Areas of the state visited him at the State Executive Council Chambers , Uyo yesterday to lay to rest the controversial issue of The President General of the Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers in the state.

The Governor urged the Paramount Rulers of Annang, Oron and Obolo extraction to withdraw the case they instituted in court against the state government for him to be able to sit with them and talk to avoid contempt of court.

The Paramount Ruler of Mbo, HRM Ogwong Okon Asuquo Abang and his Etim Ekpo counterpart HRM Prof. Amanam Udoh apologized on behalf of the paramount rulers from Oro and Annang Nations for shunning the first meeting called by the governor on the issue.

The Paramount Ruler of Ibesikpo Asutan Edidem Clement Ekpenyong applauded the Governor, for calling the meeting , promising to work with his counterparts to resolve the controversial issue.
