Police Arrest Veryblackman Over Alleged Threat To DeeOne’s Life

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested a social media personality known as Veryblackman over an alleged threat to the life of reality TV star and comedian DeeOne.

Veryblackman, identified as a member of the Ratel group and described as the brother of controversial activist VeryDarkMan, was arrested on Saturday after allegedly failing to honour a police invitation.

He was subsequently transported to Lagos on Sunday, according to reports.

Reacting to the development, DeeOne confirmed the arrest in an Instagram post, saying, “Arrested and swift to Lagos! Next time you won’t threaten someone’s life. Kudos to the Nigerian Police for doing their job.”

The arrest followed an alleged threat made by Veryblackman in June, when he reportedly threatened to kill DeeOne after the comedian criticised VeryDarkMan.

The threat generated reactions on social media, with several Nigerians, including entertainers Mario Wazobia and Broda Mike, calling for police intervention and his arrest.

The latest development has now brought the earlier controversy back into the spotlight as investigations into the alleged threat continue.
