Amala Ibadan, a rapidly expanding restaurant, has increased it reach with the inauguration of a new branch in Lagos State a few years after its inception.
The restaurant, which originated in the Ikotun district of Lagos State, has now extended its reach to the Alagbado area of the bustling city, offering locals and surrounding communities the chance to savor high-quality, reasonably priced meals in a clean and welcoming setting.
As reported by THE MATRIX, this new addition celebrated its grand opening on Sunday, October 8, 2023, situated at 82 AIT Road, near Coca-Cola Bus Stop, Alagbado, Lagos.
The launch of this outlet attracted a diverse audience, including notable figures from the Nigerian film industry, such as Rotimi Fakunle, renowned for his role in “The Gang of Lagos,” and Bidemi Kosoko.
It was revealed that Amala Ibadan, owned by Mr. Ife Salako, a former broadcast journalist who transitioned into politics, also known as Ifektive, joined forces with the popular supermarket, Grocery Bazaar (GB), to establish this new dining establishment.
Amala Ibadan initially commenced operations at Nobex Bus Stop, Ikotun-Idimu Road, Lagos, a few years back, and it has rapidly become a preferred dining destination for the local community and beyond.
The restaurant boasts a diverse menu featuring local delicacies, including its renowned amala served with gbegiri and ewedu, various rice dishes, and more.
At Amala Ibadan, patrons can relish delectable and nutritious meals prepared by dedicated chefs, with a commitment to consistently tantalize their taste buds.
Mr. Salako, who transitioned from his career at Naija FM to a career in politics, is a graduate of Theatre Arts from Lagos State University (LASU). He vied for a seat in the House of Representatives to represent Alimosho Federal Constituency in 2023 under the Young Progressives Party (YPP). Despite his loss to the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Ganiyu Adele Ayuba, he subsequently joined the Labour Party (LP) and is now a prominent figure within the party’s ranks in Lagos State.
