No One Wins But Imade — Davido Ends Custody Battle

Afrobeats superstar Davido has withdrawn from the ongoing custody battle over his daughter, Imade Adeleke, citing distressing courtroom exchanges.

In posts on X and Instagram, Davido clarified he never sought full custody, only joint custody. “Nobody won, nobody lost but Imade… so I don’t know why some people are celebrating,” he wrote.

The singer said he ended the case after references were made to his late son, describing it as “the lowest blow.” He stressed that his actions were motivated by love and responsibility for his daughter, and vowed she will grow up knowing he fought for her.

Davido also criticized the opposing legal team for unprofessional conduct, recounting tense moments at Lagos State High Court, Yaba. Fans and well-wishers continue to call for peaceful co-parenting, highlighting the singer’s commitment to Imade’s well-being.
